This new vacation home inhabits a unique beachfront site on the Lake. The design faced strict constraints such as a long, narrow lot and tight building envelope boundaries. The simple, vernacular form results from these limitations. The established aesthetic of Tahoe architecture is contemporized through a distillation of roof lines, a clarity of structure and material, and meticulous attention to detail. Stone and wood provide shelter where needed while walls are reduced to glass at the lakefront, taking advantage of stunning views.
