This facility comprises 130,000 s.f. of a very complex and varied program. The design concept was to break down the program into smaller elements (buildings) and create a village surrounding a central space (atrium). Rather than one massive building, this created a series of smaller structures more in keeping with the neighboring residential fabric. In so doing, the central atrium becomes enlivened by the diverse activities housed in the adjacent structures.
