A couple with young children felt their three story Edwardian needed a unified aesthetic and improved function. Color, material, furnishings, and natural light inform the house's various moods and functions and meld the client's modern tastes and lifestyle with the existing traditional detailing. White walls, slab stone, and modern detailing make for an airy living space. Dark wood and mosaic tile give a richness to the dining room. The new kitchen opens to provide a space for both entertaining and informal family gathering.
